Acoustic nylon felt is a material used for sound absorption and soundproofing and plays an important role in improving the acoustic environment

It usually consists of a top layer, a barrier layer, and an underlayment. The protective underlayment may be made of nylon fibers, but also combines other materials such as rubber, polymers, heavy minerals, glass wool, etc. to achieve its acoustic and other properties.

The material's own properties as well as its structural design are utilized to achieve sound blocking and absorption. When the sound wave propagates to the acoustic nylon felt, part of the sound will be reflected, and part of the sound enters into the interior of the material. The porous structure of the material, the interaction of different material layers, etc., makes the sound continuously reflected and rubbed, and converts the sound energy into heat energy consumption, thus playing the effect of sound absorption and noise reduction. For low-frequency noise, it can effectively block its propagation through the molecular friction of the viscoelastic material.
